Can i replace an ac contactor myself?

Make sure the power is turned off before working on it. This can be done by physically forcing the contactor to close or bypassing that part of the circuit with a cable. But I suspect it means somehow forcing a contactor to close when it wouldn't otherwise be closed.: i.
